Welcome to Heymish Handicrafts—where cozy meets quirky and cute gets a little chaotic.

We’re serving up a delightful blend of adorable, eccentric, sassy, and surprisingly elegant (depending on the day and how much coffee we’ve had). From lovingly stitched quilts to snail-themed shenanigans, everything we create is sprinkled with joy, creativity, and maybe just a bit of obsession.

We’re a loud and proud LGBTQ+ crew, embracing neurospice and the beautiful complexity of being a dissociative system. Around here, every stitch has a story—and every project comes with a twist.

Established - 2024

Founded in 2024 by the unstoppable duo Tina and Lily Claxton, we’re based in the lovely land of Norfolk, UK (yes, the tea really does taste better here). After years of mastering the art of the long-distance relationship, we finally sealed the deal in February 2024, and made our big move to start married life—and this little business—together in June.

Fueled by love, caffeine, and Lily’s constant cheering, we decided to launch our dream from home: a small biz packed with heart, handmade goodness, and a healthy dose of sass.

Now, a quick note on pronouns—if you see us saying “we” when talking about me, don’t worry, your eyes aren’t playing tricks. We’re a Dissociative Identity Disorder (DiD) system made up of nine unique identities. Yep, we roll deep. For a long time, we kept that part of ourselves under wraps. But meeting Lily changed everything. With her support, we’ve learned to embrace all of who we are—and it turns out, all of us are pretty awesome.

We’ll be sharing more about our DiD journey (and all the delightful quirks that come with it) in future posts. Spoiler: there will be crafts, chaos, and maybe a few snail-related tangents.

We also vibe pretty hard with the spicy side of the neurodivergent spectrum—so if you’re into handmade magic, real talk, and running a biz while navigating brains that don’t always play by the rules, you’re in the right place.

Quilting

Long before Lily sashayed into our life with her sparkly energy and excellent taste in partners, we were already knee-deep in fabric scraps and bobbins. Quilting has always been our creative happy place—a cozy little corner of the world where everything makes sense (as long as the seams line up… mostly).

We’re equal-opportunity quilters around here—whether it’s hand-piecing while binge-watching fantasy shows or going full beast mode on the sewing machine, we love it all. Hand-quilting? Machine quilting? Why not both? We’re in it for the texture and the drama.

Our absolute favorite projects are custom designs—especially when we get to play matchmaker between someone’s dream colors and our imagination. There’s nothing like turning “I kinda want it to feel like a cozy forest at dusk but with a hint of chaos” into a quilted masterpiece. Challenge accepted.

Snails

Since landing in the UK, we’ve unexpectedly fallen head-over-heels into a full-blown snail obsession. What started as a casual stroll through Castle Acre turned into a love story when we spotted three teeny-tiny baby snails just vibing in the grass. Naturally, we scooped them up like the overly sentimental weirdos we are.

Fast forward, and we are now the proud, slightly unhinged parents of 10 Giant African Land Snails (yes, giant) and 10 rescued garden snails who were dramatically saved from certain doom (aka our back garden).

They’re slimy, slow, and squishier than our hearts—and honestly? They’ve completely taken over our lives in the best possible way. Every single one of them is a beloved member of our little snail cult… er, family.
